Ray built the mechanism for the earth inductor compass used during Charles Lindbergh’s solo trans-Atlantic flight in 1927. Simpson was purchased by the Lac du Flambeau Band of the Lake Superior Chippewa Indians in 1985 and is a minority-owned company. Our reliable, high quality products continue to be manufactured in the U.S.A.

Simpson Electric has received a few inquiries about Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH)/Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) from our customers. We have started to look into this regulation. Currently Simpson Electric cannot provide data confirming compliance with the concentration levels specified by the REACH (SVHC) regulation. We will continue to familiarize ourselves with this regulation and possibly comply with it in the future.
